Before you pay

What to check before you buy

  1. 1

    Prescription, not 'research use only'

Every program here uses a licensed clinician and a licensed US pharmacy. Vials sold 'for research only' skip both, and nothing about their contents is checked. We don't list them.

  2. 2

Is it allowed to be compounded?

FDA decides which bulk substances pharmacies may compound. NAD+ and glutathione are in its 'under evaluation' group, which in practice allows them; BPC-157 is not on the list despite heavy marketing.

  3. 3

The low price usually means prepaying

The cheapest monthly rates come with 6- or 12-month plans, and most programs refund nothing once the order is placed. Compare the month-to-month price before you commit.

  4. 4

Every 4 weeks is 13 charges a year

Some programs bill every 4 weeks instead of monthly, which adds a 13th payment each year. We convert those prices to a true monthly figure.

  5. 5

    Who compounds it?

Few programs name their pharmacy or say whether it is a 503A or 503B facility. We note it where they do, and flag it where they don't.

  6. 6

The evidence is thinner than the marketing

For sermorelin, NAD+ and most longevity peptides, human studies are small. Treat claims about energy, aging or fat loss as unproven until larger trials say otherwise.

Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved

Pharmacies may compound only substances FDA allows under section 503A. In 2026 FDA moved several popular peptides off its 'significant safety risks' list because their nominations were withdrawn, which does not make them compoundable, and an advisory committee voted on six of them in July 2026 with no final decision yet.

We check the record

Before a program is listed we search FDA warning letters, note whether it dispenses FDA-approved or compounded drugs, and say who prescribes. What we find goes on its review.

We read the source

Every price comes from the program's own pricing page, with the link and the date we checked it.

We add the hidden costs

Labs, membership and consult fees are folded in, so the monthly number is what leaves your account.

Scores are not for sale

Each score is computed from five published criteria. What a program pays us changes nothing; bmiMD scores 8.7 on the same scale as everyone else.

Questions people ask

How much does sermorelin cost online?

Prices vary with the plan length: month-to-month plans cost noticeably more than 6- or 12-month prepaid ones. Our price table shows each program's lowest published plan and links to its source.

Is sermorelin legal to prescribe?

Sermorelin was FDA-approved as Geref; the maker stopped selling it in 2008 and the approval was withdrawn in 2009, and a 2013 Federal Register notice says that was not for safety or effectiveness reasons. Pharmacies compound it today on a clinician's prescription.

Are compounded peptides FDA-approved?

No. Compounded peptides are mixed by a pharmacy for an individual prescription and are not FDA-approved products. FDA keeps lists of which bulk substances pharmacies may use; we note each peptide's status.

What about BPC-157?

BPC-157 is not on FDA's list of substances pharmacies may compound. An FDA advisory committee voted on it in July 2026, but no final decision has been published. None of the programs here sells it today; one runs a waitlist.
